Visual tests of HDR video

HDR (High Dynamic Range) is a standard format for digital movies that is widely supported by browsers, tvs, and content producers, like Netflix. EasyEyes will use HDR to present stimuli. With a compatible browser and display, HDR offers 10-bit imaging, good timing, and color management (including gamma correction). Click to explore some tests and demos.

Each test or demo was produced by computing 16-bit PNG images in JavaScript or MATLAB and then using FFmpeg to convert the PNG images into an HDR movie. The web assembly version of FFmpeg (FFmpeg.wasm) runs in any browser.
